Seeders
From Tiny Farm Wiki
There are two ways to sow seed directly in the garden: broadcast seeding and precision seeding. Broadcast seeding means scattering seed as evenly as possible over an area. Precision seeding is placing a controlled number of seeds, at a set spacing, in straight rows.
For the last decade or two, there seemed to be only one really accessible (inexpensive, about $125US) hand-push precision seeder available in North America, the somewhat misnamed Earthway Precision Seeder. In the last couple of years, several alternatives have appeared. They're all a little more expensive than the Earthway ($400-1000), but from reports offer real precision, resulting in seed- and labor-saving that could have them paying for themselves in a couple of seasons.
